Consecration. Abraham and Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah – the call of God to separation. Abraham heard the call of God and left Haran. Lot wanted to be a part of it and came too. This is typical of us. Lot and Abraham separate and Abraham goes deeper and deeper into God. God was his shield and exceeding great reward. Abraham answered the call to consecration and God blessed him. Lot chose a life of ease and materialism – this is the enemy of consecration. The angels had to save Lot, but he would not go up the mountain, he settles in a little city. Where are we tonight? Too near hell, in the city, not wanting to hear the call? God is calling tonight for consecration. The life lived in ease ends far from God. The life of consecration ends in blessing and nearness to God. He is our inheritance. Do not look at what lies far ahead, but go step by step.

The events leading up to crucifixion. That the glory of God may be seen in Him. Supreme revelation of God’s power. My hour is come, by way of Calvary. There is no resurrection without the cross. The only way to touch the glory is through Gethsemane. Would you find more of that glory? Then come by the way of the cross. A principle is contained in this – face up to what you were, let it come up to the surface, all your faults so that God can deal with them. A cleansing wave of God’s forgiveness. Bring that which is painful to the cross. Jewels are formed in fervent heat. God would do a work in us that is precious. Oh God, this is what I am, change me. Peter let the light shine right inside him. Throw wide the door and let Christ come in. Say to Christ – I hold nothing to myself. Look to the Lord Jesus and the love He pours out for you, don’t give Him less than everything.

Jesus bathing the feet of His disciples. Jesus begins to show the full extent of His love. Christ loves us individually. Being a channel for the love of God to flow is critical. You can destroy human love, but cannot destroy the love of God. Only love can make a miracle. Spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm. The knowledge of the love of God – This opened to the disciples at Gethsemane and Calvary. Enter into a new place with Christ and identify with Him. It matters to Christ that we love Him and come into a new level of love with Him. Peter, do you love me?

Resurrection life and power. People who indulge in sin lose light from their faces. Paul came to know the Lord deeply. Sown in weakness and raised in power. It is one thing to have faith in God when He is near, but in the dark times that faith needs to remain also. Christ had a divine faith – resurrection life is there for us all.

The Son of righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Lazarus rising from the dead. Unto them that fear my name. Are we bound with burdens like Lazarus? Bound by sin, Satan, or pain? Put away all known sin between you and God, then He will begin to move upon your life. There is no depth of hurt that Christ cannot get to with His healing wings.

Tremendous fruitfulness in a seed – exquisite beauty in the tabernacle – outward forms of church – inner hidden parts important – inside us is limitless area for spiritual growth – Judas was same as rest externally – he was caught wrongly in dark hour – never be soft internally giving into something in your nature that’s wrong leads to hell – Peter failed externally, but there was room for growth internally – let God apply pressure so that inner being breaks beyond external – growing in thought, word and deed – Mary Magdalene, Christ appeared to her first – symbol of redeemed.
