The life of Saul – inner change, without God we don’t change. Christ does not change either. Saul was able to prophecy and follow God when he was with the prophets, but not when he was alone – we are often the same. God requires deep inner change. He can do it and wants to do it. God offers real change of character to all of us. There is hope in Christ. The inner things need to change – pride, jealousy, bitterness worry, fear etc. Bring them to the cross until change takes place and our weaknesses have become strengths. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. By seeing Him we are changed.

Come unto me all you who labour. The power is in the Christ. Burdens can be sin, or simply the cares of life. Come to me and I will give you rest. We need the rest for our souls to begin to grow in God. Learn the secret of being in contact with Christ, the secret of drawing your strength from God. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting for those who love Him

I know your works, a flame of fire. The fire needs a fuel – it will burn up the dross in you. The Jews followed the crowd. As we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit, God will open a door which no one can shut. Expect the miracles of God. Reference to a new book by Dutch Sheets – there is no road around the cross for those who want to go deeper into spiritual life.
