Podcast #92: Saturday, September 8th 2007

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday, September 8th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Miss Jennifer Jack.

Speaking Notes

Our need for a covering – after Adam fell, he hid away from God. He was aware of his need of a covering before God. Man could not come lightly into the presence of God again. There are clear instructions for the people to have a covering – the Passover feast was instituted – the only escape was by being under the blood. You could not be foolish and take yourself out from under that covering. The principles of salvation include a change, living your life in a different way and moving out from the old life. There is an experience beyond the place of salvation. A covering by His garment and coming into a place of hunger and love for God. There is a covering between you and your enemy, a place where new ground is taken.

Podcast #91: Saturday, September 1st 2007

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday, September 1st 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The voice of God. The voice to Samuel was a familiar one. We are expected to hear the voice of God for ourselves. Christ said that we shall know His voice and flee from those that are evil. If you fill your life with constant noise, how are you then able to listen to the voice of God? His voice will never lead us astray. He will also speak to us through others. The bible can speak wonderfully to us as well – it is the Living Word to us. We lose that Living Word when we ignore the voice of God. Adam disobeyed and he feared God, but he then made his way back to Him. Judas was with Christ for 3 years, yet he turned away. Listen to His voice and He will sup with you, spend time with Him.

Podcast #90: August 25th 2007

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of August 25th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The God of hope – the valley of dry bones – do you have any hope that these bones can live? Ezekiel saw the departing glory of God, then, he was brought before the valley of bones. Ezekiel had no faith. God wouldn’t let him off and told him to speak to the bones. What obedience and faith he had. This was a vision of God’s people coming to life spiritually. Ezekiel was to preach and prophecy to the children of Israel. Your valley might be sin, disappointments or circumstances that look hopeless. I will bring you out of your grave – The Hope of Israel. Samson in the midst of his disobedience had a change of heart – he returns to God. He could have wept in self pity but he caught a glimpse of the light of God. He reached out and made the effort to find God. Paul’s life is another that speaks of much hope, and another that was given a second chance.

Podcast #89: August 18th 2007

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of August 18th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Daniel’s vision of Christ – he was consistent in his spiritual progress – the lie of the standard of Christ being too hard for us and our young people. The courage of taking a stand against temptation, and speaking out the truth as in the interpretation Daniel gave of the dreams – the progression of Daniel’s spiritual life through these occasions and how his walk with God deepened as a result. Plotters try to find fault with Daniel, but they cannot. Daniel has matured in the things of God, and there is no compromise in him. He was thrown to the lions, but had not even a scratch upon him because he trusted in God. God can always give a fresh start.

Podcast #88: August 11th 2007

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of August 11th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The man healed by the pool at Bethesda. He had been ill for many years, yet he still hoped. Christ asked – do you want to be made well? We can become used to our illness, so must be careful when we are asked that question. This relates to every area of need that we have. Do you want to be changed? A recurrent illness can allow us a little break from spiritual things – it can become an excuse. Before God moves, the waters around our life can become very troubled. Whatever the need, we need Christ, but sometimes we can’t find our way to Him. He will come and help us and welcome us. Sometimes we become wounded whilst following hard after God, and then find it hard to find Him. Let Him help you and draw you to His healing waters. Too much counselling and talking can make the whole situation worse. It just takes one moment with God for everything to be sorted.

Podcast #87: August 4th 2007

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of August 4th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Miss J. Jack.

Speaking Notes

The people had been set free from Egypt – a moving forward. At the place of Mara (bitter waters), they murmured against Moses and God. Moses turns to God, and God shows him what to do. He obeyed without any questioning. Is there any bitterness in your life – take the cross into your soul and something will change that bitterness to sweetness. The church should be looking for more moving in the realm of healing – for body, soul and spirit.

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of July 28th 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The power of Pentecost. Only believe – Christ is praying that we will be open and believe. Believe the word of God. Paul had his sanctuary in Christ, despite all his natural circumstances. Perfect love casts out all fear. Your body might not be safe, but your inner man is totally safe in Christ. Be hungry for more of God and the ministries of the Holy Spirit. Have a vision for the things of God. Seek for the gift of wisdom, casting out of demons, etc.

Podcast #85: July 21st 2007

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This sermon was recorded on the evening of July 21st 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs Diana Rutherford.

Speaking Notes

Story of Mordecai. Satan hates us sitting in the gate like Mordecai. He learnt of a plot against the king by sitting in the gate. He refused to bow down to Haaman. We need to refuse to bow to the world or be discouraged. Mordecai stood in the midst of adversity. He told Esther to go to the king. Sometimes you have to be ruthless with yourself. Satan hates those who do not budge. Reference to the occasion of the spiritualist who tried to be more powerful than the power he felt in Miss Taylor. She just sat quietly in God’s presence. Diana saw satan routed from the camp. After Mordecai was honoured, he returned to the gate. Flattery did not move him, he was a man who had a vision and refused to move from it, give it up, or compromise it.
