Podcast #108: December 29th, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 29th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Diana Rutherford.

Speaking Notes

If you are going to meet royalty, you must be prepared. We are going to meet the King of Kings – your heart must be prepared. Fight through the conflict that you might bring forth your offering. There is no conflict in God, He is eternal peace, joy and incredible strength. Get up into the place of aloneness and commune with God. We must mature and enter into that place before we come to the New Year Conference. Do not take sin into the holy place of God. There is a place of utter rest and quiet in God. Suddenly the clouds disappear. You need to have a sharp desire for God. Pay attention to the instruction and details of the natural life then the spiritual life will mature and deepen – discipline your life.

Podcast #107: December 22nd, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 22nd, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Aloneness. Abraham was called by God, he walked close to God and obeyed Him. He walked a lonely path. It takes one man with a vision to keep going. Hudson Taylor had a vision for China, and God changed him so that he could carry Christ to others. Mary was a humble woman, yet she was chosen by God and walked a lonely path also. A missionary can walk a very lonely road, always being the foreigner. You can be among a group of people, yet still feel terribly alone, but finding God deeply in that aloneness. A call is coming to us now, that our inner walk with God would be one of aloneness with Him.

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 15th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is an experience that purges the life and requires an inner change. The Holy Spirit brings fire and yet the dove of peace. This dove will not rest on ground that is unclean, only upon the clean ground – just as John saw the dove fall upon Christ.

Podcast #105: December 8th. 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 8th. 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Abraham’s faith and the title given to him of the Friend of God. Friendship with God was broken in Eden. True friendship is a gift – it involves a quality of trust, companionship and help. In the Old Testament God was rarely described as a friend, but in the New Testament, Jesus was a friend of sinners. There can be many difficulties in friendships – the compassion and humility of Christ. Keeping Christ out of areas of your life goes against friendship with Him.

Podcast #104: December 1st, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 1st, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Spiritual hunger and thirst. The story of Hagar and Ishmael, the faithfulness of God and His kindness to Hagar and Ishmael- the faith of Abraham to send them off to the wilderness trusting that God will save them. Hagar wandered in the wilderness and became hungry and thirsty, and then God showed her the well. We are like this spiritually – we must grow thirsty for God before He opens our eyes. God can withdraw Himself to cause us to run after Him. The woman at the well was thirsty, she was an outcast. Christ knew all about her and still offered her living water. Ask Him to make you hungry- Mary at the tomb who was crying out for Christ. To the waiting, thirsty soul Christ always comes.

Podcast #103: November 24th, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of November 24th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The high calling of God – buying gold from Christ. Let the richness of God fill your life. There is straightness in God – we cannot deceive Him. Do not become lukewarm or Christ will spit you out. The comforts in our life can keep us away from spiritual life. If our thoughts and focus are on other things, our spiritual life decreases. The gold has a cost. Your inner life is to be filled with Christ. Abraham followed after God and was found righteous in Him. Lot became lukewarm and fell into sin. The riches of this world do not fulfil you. At the end of your life it is Christ that you need.

Podcast #102: November 17th, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of November 17th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Miss J. Jack.

Speaking Notes

The refiners fire. He shall suddenly come to His temple. The meaning of Malachi is – the messenger. Speaking like John the Baptist, it is a prophetic book. He shall come – the one in whom you delight in. There are two sides of God that we meet when we have an encounter with Him – the One who gives us hope and encouragement, and the One of whom we say – who can abide His coming? We find the impurities coming up to the surface by the workings of the Refiners fire. Many follow Christ no more because they did not meet the refining fire. You cannot love one without the other. The Refiners fire wasn’t only for the people like the woman at the well, it is also for the Peter’s who are very close to Christ. When we have come through the Refiners fire it enables us to offer service, worship, intercession and thanksgiving which will have become purer and much more effective.

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of November 10th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

Who is the Holy Spirit? Wrestling against the tide, wrestling against the sense of failure. Jesus is the friend of sinners, He is the comforter. On the day of Pentecost there were tongues of flame – the spirit waters and revives. The healing touch – he comes as a dove upon clean ground. I am not your enemy, I am your Kinsman. Draw strength from the fire and the dove.

Podcast #100: November 3rd, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of November 3rd, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Miss J. Jack.

Speaking Notes

The Cedars of Lebanon – these are beautiful trees and are disease free. They are meant to represent the followers of Christ. . We need to grow strong in Christ like the cedar – how? We flourish in the presence of God. You need space in your life to grow, clear out the clutter, cares and worries. You need a relationship between just yourself and God alone. Fill your life with God. The soil greatly affects the trees – mineral rich soil is best, and causes long, deep, strong roots. Our spiritual lives need to be deep and hidden in God. Think about Him, feed on Him. Draw your life from Him. There is also decayed matter in the soil. This gives shine to the tree. Death brings forth life in nature. At Calvary also, Christ’s death brought salvation. As our old life dies, new life begins. You are pruned to bring forth new fruit. How do you react to life’s circumstances? Let them draw you into God. Let Him break off all that hinders to allow new growth.

Podcast #99: October 27th, 2007

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

This sermon was recorded on the evening of October 27th, 2007 in our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. Grace Gault.

Speaking Notes

The power of the blood of Christ – without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin as seen from Eden to the cross. The blood has paid for all our sins – small and large. Many a soul labours under the guilt of sin. Take it to the cross and leave it there – cleansed by the blood. God judged Egypt by the death of the first-born, but freedom to those who had the blood of a lamb upon their doors and lintels. With the mark of the blood on you, you will have power over sin. Trust in the blood of Christ to work in your life. Those who walk close to God become cleansed by the blood.
