This sermon was recorded on the evening of October 11th, 2008 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault.
Consider Him. Many saw Christ in difficult situations – in the storm – He was asleep despite the storm. The Prince of Peace. He will still the storms of fear and doubt in our hearts. Compassion with the natural hunger of those who came to hear. How much more will He satisfy our spiritual hunger. He is the healer of body and soul. The Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief. The anguish of Calvary. In your grief, you need the Great Burden Bearer. Sometimes all you can do is come and lean upon the cross and consider Him. Our impression of what Christ is like is influenced by what others say about Him. Martin Luther was slowly influenced by reading the bible in direct opposition to the traditional teachings of the church. Who do you say that I am? Peter said – you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. To acknowledge that at last the Christ is here. This is my beloved and my friend. It is the holy spirit who reveals the things of Christ to us. You will discover this for yourself.
