Sunday, January 25th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday January 24th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Our God is a consuming fire. We can only approach God through Christ. God speaks to Moses on Mount Sinai about the tabernacle and all the intricate details therein. At the centre was the Ark and the mercy Seat – It was beautiful, it all speaks of God. Moses was not to have his own plan, but to follow God’s instructions exactly. We also must do everything according to the pattern God has shown us at Calvary. The fire of God’s purity is the place of forgiveness, revelation and peace. Calvary is foreshadowed by the tabernacle. Following Christ is about communion with Him, not working for Him. Build according to Christ’s pattern. Know Him and Him crucified. Be conformed to Him and embrace His purity. Die to your own abilities and yield them to God. The pattern of sacrifice always remains – the road of suffering often leads to God. Accept the cross.

There is an open door before you, do not let anyone take your crown. Hold on – many will try to stop you following after Him. He has opened a door, go through and hold on to Him. There are many things in and around us that will try to stop us going through our door – know the power of Pentecost in your life.

Monday, January 12th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday January 10th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

The Lord is my Shepherd. Rest and fulfilment, a place of peace and strength. A sheep rests when it has been well fed and is at peace. A good shepherd will always find a pasture. Peaceful streams and a rich pasture for our souls will be provided for us. Having our spiritual strength renewed within these pastures, that peace might abide deep within, regardless of circumstances. Do that which He has asked us to do, and we will bring glory to Him. It is in the dark valley that we see Christ more clearly and in depth. We are drawn into an intimate place with God. We know His voice.

Monday, January 12th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday January 3rd , 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

How do we become strong? Some of those who were persecuted hid in mountains and caves – similar to our Scottish ancestors. Their weakness was turned to strength. There is a misunderstanding that Christianity is weak. Paul writes of being strong in weakness. It was the revelation of Christ that changed Paul utterly. His confidence in flesh was replaced with confidence in Christ, but he had utter humility. His thorn in the flesh brought him to a place of weakness – My grace is sufficient for you – Out of weakness comes strength. Moses began life full of confidence, then, 40 years in the wilderness changed him. His lack of confidence to lead the people was his strength in God.

Friday, January 9th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of January 2nd, 2009 at our Greenock Church. The speaker is Mrs. J. Jack. Speaking Notes

The Philistines. Their land was rich in metals and therefore they were also rich in weaponry. What attitude do you have to the Philistines in your life? Stand and fight until you can stand no more, then God will move on your behalf. Your life could feel like a field of lentils. The enemy wants to take what you have. God will help you to stand and fight. We are to commit our weak areas where there is sin, and expect God to come with a new power to defeat all that is in us. In the case of Saul, the Philistines defeated Him because he was weak. You need to expect victory. Saul ran away. David fought against the Philistines. All changes when God is fighting for us.

Friday, January 9th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the afternoon of January 2nd, 2009 at our Greenock Church. The speaker is Mrs. D. Rutherford. Speaking Notes

The blessing of God is ready to fall if we would only ask and commit ourselves fully. An utter obedience to the whispers of God. He requires a total brokenness in us – we never reach the end of this road. We have to fight for our spiritual life, and remain in the spirit regardless of circumstance. Do you crave and thirst for God, or are you just carried along by the wave of others hard work? We need to train our flesh to want Christ. People need to learn to penetrate the blessing of God by themselves and not just feed off others blessings. Bring all the tithes into the store house. Wrench these from your heart and the blessings will fall. You are able to sit for 2 hours to watch a film, are you able to sit for 2 hours praying and worshipping Christ. Learn to be with Christ just starting with a small amount of time at first. You will soon desire Him more than these other things.

Podcast: Thursday January 1st, 2009 New Year Word

Friday, January 9th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of January 1st, 2009 at our Greenock Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault and contains the New Year Word. Speaking Notes

Bring me the tithes into the store house. This is a blessing for the church, but with a condition upon it. God has blessed us richly throughout 2008, and we still need to ask His blessing upon our church, that it will be filled with spiritual food and become more alive in Him. The church needs to be clean for more blessing to be able to fall. Be obedient to the will of God, have faith in Him and believe in Him. God is wanting us to exercise our faith. Bring in the tithes that bring you down – the doubts and weaknesses, uncleanness and sin. Give them to Him that the blessing might fall.

Friday, January 9th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the afternoon of January 1st, 2009 at our Greenock Church. The speaker is Mrs. A. Speirs. Speaking Notes

Son of man, what do you see? Could we but stand where Moses stood. A calling to a higher place. Increase your horizon. A high hill or a mountain increases your horizon or view. The further we want to see, the higher we must go. What is of interest to you that you will see first? Where your heart is there will your treasure be also. There are those who see nothing but themselves. Most people do not care for much more than themselves or that which affects their own circumstances. The story of the forth coming US president. There is an act of the will required by everyone that we lift our eyes from the circumstances of this world to a higher level. Moses instructed the people to lift their eyes. We need to look up at the shining face of Christ.

Friday, January 9th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of December 31st, 2008 at our Greenock Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Elijah prays for rain. The victory of God on Mount Carmel. The servant looked 7 times for signs of rain. A cloud the size of a mans hand. The coming of God is like the small cloud. A man unusually used of God, anointed mightily, strong in faith and courage, strengthened by God to run ahead of the chariot – then runs for his life and is fed by ravens and angels. In his dependency on God, he entered into something new, into a newness in Christ. The inner man has to grow in God. Learn dependency on God. The spring of God – drink from it even in drought.
