This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday October 24th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Isaiah 12, John 16 & 17 – Christ was the bridge for man. What do I believe? The first thing that happened at the fall was unbelief in God. The more we exercise our belief in God, the more we will know of Christ. The love of God draws many a soul to Christ. The call of God is deep communion with Him. Walk with God, then we will know His will and be able to ask in His name.

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday October 17th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. A. Speirs. Speaking Notes

Matt, Eps 3, Phill3, Romans 12 – Come to a saving knowledge of the cross of Christ. The nouns of Calvary are nothing to the reality of what happened at Calvary. He bore all the sin, shame and iniquity of man past and present – the Spirit of the Godhead. That moment when God turned away from the horror of the sin of humanity – we understand the horror and shame of sin. Wait until the Holy Spirit comes. The believers were added too, yet many still loved their sin more. Are you Saved? You need to do more than mumble a few words and write your name at the back of a book. You need to be totally broken before God. This true Salvation will change, and must change you to the uttermost. You must not be conformed to this world. Christ’s life was given for you – you must give Him your whole life. You must live to glorify Christ.

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday October 10th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Jer 17v5, Isaiah 54v2-3 . In your walk with God there is a deep peace. There could still be troubles around you, but God knows this. If you rely on your own strength or others, you will dry up. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord. Make him your hope and confidence. A tree that has found a source of water in drought stays green. That is what we should be like in the Lord. When Christ was on the cross He drew from the depths of Gods faithfulness. It was not in the garden of Eden that the wrath of God was shown, but at the cross – against sin. Enlarge your dwelling place. Be instant in season and out of season, so that God can use you and you can grow. We need to strengthen the stake in our life. Death to self – this is a thing to be attended to daily.

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday October 3rd, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Genesis 9v4 – Jacob and Esau – the boys had different temperaments – Jacob was more spiritual. Jacob trades stew for Esau’s birthright – Esau doesn’t really care for it, but he could never get it back again. The difference was that Jacob had a hunger for God, but Esau treated God with contempt. He was casual with the things of God. He represents us when we are casual with God and spiritual things, and when we let other things become more important. Jacob represents the saved soul who desires God – still with many faults but seeking God. He made mistakes, but carried on seeking. We each have our own calling and birthright. Sin is exceedingly sinful and if you give way to it, it will drag you away. We must resist it. Do not become casual about sin, be on your guard. Feed the desire for God and it will grow. It is a privilege to serve God. He wants us but does not need us. Hudson Taylor had to sacrifice marriage to follow God – he obeyed. We must lay down claims of family, careers, self awareness etc. and cling to our calling. The vision is Christ. The only way to progress is to feed our desire for God. Ask Him to renew it. Experiments have proven that people cannot walk in a straight line without a fixed point of guidance. This is true spiritually. We need our eye fixed on Him to guide us. Measure this by your communion with Him. Our compass, and His nature begins to be formed within us. Let the magnetism of Christ draw you.
