Monday, December 28th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday December 26th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Hebrews 12 – You can believe at a head level, but you can also believe in reality. We are faced with different levels of belief through life. God gives enough grace for times of need. Belief in Christ gives peace and joy. Only believe – it is all we need to do. Thomas was sceptical and wanted proof – this is so like us and the church. An unbelieving heart is a result of the fall. We find belief by looking to Christ. Faith as small as a mustard seed will remove mountains of unbelief within us. Reference to the conversion of Spurgeon – as he started looking to Christ, he began to live. Christ healed the man who was born blind – he began to see and believed in Christ. Do you fully believe in the kindness and goodness of Christ? Belief in Christ causes us to worship and love Him – unbelief is sin and it keeps us out of our spiritual inheritance. Do you believe that God holds your inheritance for now, tomorrow and everyday?

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday December 19th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Joshua 17 – The tribes of Israel and the dividing of the land – the driving out of the Canaanites that were in the land. His name and His blood drives out the enemy. When we believe deep down that Jesus is Lord, we can face anything. Deal with the stumbling blocks in your life. Act under the Holy Spirit and do the work that He gives you to do. Someone can make a difference to their generation, but not alone. We need to trust Him, then He will outwork His plan in us. Example of the life of Wilberforce and how he gave his life to the call of God. It is not hard for Him to drive out the enemy – ask Him.

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday December 12th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Joel 3v16, Isaiah 40v49 – The Lord will be a place of repair for His people. This speaks of something that needs to be mended, and of the hope that it can be mended. He knows there are times when we need to be repaired, and He provides a place for that. We are still in the natural body, perfection is for the next life. Our understanding and knowledge is limited. Reference to William Wilberforce and his work with the slave trade. He was a very busy man, also a politician, yet he kept his day apart with God. He found new strength as he waited on the Lord. The eagle waits in the cleft of the rock for restoration and renewal of its strength. Our Christ is the cleft of the rock – our repair. Give God time to speak to you. He brings us to Himself and bares on eagles wings. Can you still say – I get so thrilled with Jesus every moment of the day?

Podcast: Saturday 5th December, 2009

Friday, December 11th, 2009

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday December 5th, 2009 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Miss J. Jack. Speaking Notes

Rev 10 – What happens when Christ walks amongst the lamp stands – the atmosphere changes in an instant. The story of Cornelius. A saving atmosphere came through Peter’s preaching. Thomas doubted until Jesus stood in their midst – everything changed at His being there. The men on the road to Emmaus – Jesus let them pour out their worries and problems – He then explained all. He lets us pour out our grief, but then we must listen. Christ’s coming can break any barrier in a moment. He wants to stand in our midst. He knew all the things that the seven churches did. He knew the barriers that had to come down – He comes to reveal Himself and take away the problems.
