Habb 3. Revive your work in the midst of the years. Do not let the church become complacent in God and in His outpouring. Why do we need revival? It will bring us up to the New testament standard and refresh us. The burden of prayer can come deeply in the church before an out pouring of God. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down mightily in power, sound and tongues of fire. Many souls were converted at that time. Reference to the Lewis revival of 1939 & 1949. The two old ladies who were prayer warriors. They were housebound, yet God used them in His work in Lewis. Take time to pray. Reference to the revival in Lanarkshire in 1905.

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday March 13th, 2010 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

1 Samuel 17. David had fought the lion and the bears before he faced Goliath. David was in touch with his God and had a deep trust in Him. David stood up against the enemy of God and won the battle. We are to find that place of access to God and find communion with Him. We are also to be a channel for Him. David was hunted for many years by Saul, yet David kept true to God. When he sinned when he was king, he turned back to God – his heart was given to God and he endured. We are to be a champion for God. We have to endure spiritually. Take courage and fight for truth – be faithful.

1 Peter 5. The early church did not always have an easy time. They were persecuted from outside and inside the church. Peter had to learn to resist the devil and stand steadfast in Christ. Reference to a pamphlet produced by the Christian Institute. The laws of our country give us freedom – but for how long? Satan knows your weakness and will target that area. You are to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Seek for a deeper anointing to take you through in the victory of Christ

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

This sermon was recorded on the evening of Saturday February 27th, 2010 at our Glasgow Church. The speaker is Mrs. G. Gault. Speaking Notes

Hosea 2v14 – God’s desire to renew the covenant with His people. Scotland is a covenanted country. People then had a real communion with Christ. There comes a point where a life makes a covenant with God, a point where they truly love Jesus Christ – a love that many have even died for. If you lack love for Christ be honest about it to God. Where there is a lack of Christ in the church, a coldness can come in. As the men on the road to Emmaus knew Christ at the breaking of the bread, we can know Christ at communion. Love comes in time of stillness and quietness.
